01Our company

A leader in plastic trading

Established in 1999, Euro-Solutions has been a leader in the trading of plastic waste and scrap, dedicated to a sustainable future through recycling. We specialise in sourcing and supplying recycled plastic materials within the European Union and around the globe. Our mission is to connect those who generate plastic waste with those looking for high-quality secondary plastic materials, with tailored solutions that benefit both parties. By prioritising recycling, we aim to play our part in reducing plastic waste and promoting a circular economy.

We started our activities in Hungary in March 1999. We offer European-standard solutions in the field of secondary raw materials. Our goal is to create a market that offers the best solution to everyone who comes into contact with plastic in some form – as waste or as raw material.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

1

Reduce

Encourages individuals and businesses to cut down on the waste they produce. By using fewer resources and making more conscious choices – buying only what is necessary, choosing products with minimal packaging – we can lessen our environmental impact.

2

Reuse

Finding new ways to use items instead of throwing them away after a single use. Reuse extends a product’s lifespan and reduces the need for new items, which decreases resource consumption and waste.

3

Recycle

Converting waste materials into new products. Recycling keeps materials in circulation, reduces the need for raw materials, saves energy and minimises pollution.

Together, these principles support a more sustainable way of life: reducing waste at the source, making the most of what we already have, and responsibly reprocessing materials into new products.

Plastic recycling

Plastic recycling plays a crucial role in protecting our environment by reducing waste and pollution while conserving valuable natural resources. Reprocessing used plastics not only reduces the burden on landfills and oceans but also the demand for new materials – with significant energy savings and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

03EU

Plastic recycling in the EU

The recycling rate of plastic packaging waste in the European Union is rising slowly but steadily, and the new EU Packaging Regulation has imposed stricter rules since August 2026. The key facts:

42.1%

Recycled in 2023

In 2023 the EU recycled 42.1% of its plastic packaging waste (38.2% in 2013). Each inhabitant generated 35.3 kg of plastic packaging waste.

90%

2029 target

By 2029, 90% of single-use plastic beverage bottles and metal beverage cans must be collected separately – which requires deposit return schemes.

55%

2030 target

By the end of 2030, at least 55% of plastic packaging waste must be recycled.

Differences between member states

In 2023, national recycling rates ranged from 23% to 59.5% – collection systems, processing capacity and regulation all make a big difference.

New Packaging Regulation (PPWR)

Regulation (EU) 2025/40 has applied since 12 August 2026. From 2030 all packaging must be recyclable (grade A, B or C), and from 2038 grade C packaging can no longer be placed on the market.

Mandatory recycled content

From 2030, plastic packaging must contain 10–35% recycled plastic depending on the type, rising to 25–65% from 2040. This creates lasting demand for high-quality regranulate.
